Back to NJ, more baseball.

H team won 26 out of 34 baseball games. The team won the district and were on the way to states. This was quite a feat for these boys. Westfield has not won the district in years and they almost got the the states. Then they lost their mojo. There was a team party at someone's house. The kids had a dump pool and trampoline, and the boys moved from baseball to playing soccer. The part ended at 11:30. There are two tired kids in the house now. The team parents were a good group. The old grandparents, all four, sat in the heat and rain for many games.
H and D walking hand in hand. Nice scene.

Adley is now pushing her baby carriage and playing with her kitchen. She copies everything you do. Sings her songs and runs everywhere.

She loves coffee. I told her, she is Chinese and should prefer tea.
You can't drink coffee without Adley sharing it. At Traders Joes, she drank little cup after one anouther . I was giving her a little coffee and mostly milk. And always decaf! She also loved sweets. Takes after her grandma!!

We took Holden to play miniature golf and hit a bucket of balls. He got a hole in one and hits a nice ball some of the time. Then off to Friendly's for lunch.
Got Maya and we went to the movies to see ,Ice Age.

I drove to Youngstown, OH with Barbara B. to have a long and talkative lunch with Marcie F. by the time I got home, I was talked out.

Bernie P is getting better and looks great. Had a dinner with them and the W this week.

Sadie had her seventh birthday party. 18 girls, cake and ice cream, karaoke.
She got money and they headed to the American Girl Doll store the next day. She bought a toddler with hair and named it Hannah. Jim got her an iPad app to sing karaoke.

The G kids.

There was a bad storm in MD and many areas had no electricity. Sadie had no camp for this reason. She has mommy and daddy days for four days.
Jim took Sadie to work.

Then it was nap time in the afternoon. I hope the boss does not find out.

Donald and Lois on the MOVE

July 17
The L pulled out of our driveway early this morning to begin a new life in Charleston, SC? They stayed at our house for a week after their house was sold. Some tears and a little tension. Donald broke a dish and lost our house keys. Lois lost her eye glasses. They were feeling stressed out.

Poem that Cheryl S wrote to them.

Gotcha day plus one year

July 11, 2011 Jack and I went to China with Eve. Adley was placed in Eve's arms on this day and it was love from the first minute. She cried for the next hour. Eve did not know how to use bottles with the plastic inserts and Adley was not getting any formula for the first day. You need to push the air out of the bottle. She was seven months old and had not adjustment with us. Maybe a little shutdown. She was weak for her age. In the two weeks we were in China, she seemed to gain much of the delays back. We had her out of a crib and standing on her feet as verses her life in the orphanage. Three family's got three girls from the same orphanage. They were all healthy and well taken care. Today Claire, Leila and Adley are all joys.

The first day with her family.

Adley today. A spunky girl. Wants to do everything herself. Has fabulous coordination. Holds her fork and pencil correctly. Has her own soccer ball and can throw it along with a tennis ball nicely. Runs everywhere. Copies everything people are doing. LOVES everyone and they love her. Maya and Holden's friends are all coming to play with her. Last night she played with a boy friend her age, Henry. She kept hugging him.

Leila and Claire today.
