VH to HHI, lobster

Lobster night. 2 1/3 pounds.

The VH. are in HHI for the week.
Within the first 90 minutes Jim and Sadie got stung by jelly fish at the beach. And off the beach they went. But they did come back.

Looks like Sadie is getting too big for the burley.

The pool was a big hit. They visited all their favorite places.

Nathan had a sleepover. Then we went to the Carnegie Science Center for the day. ALL day. Five hours and we closed the place. He talked to the volunteer for 45 minutes in the submarine asking ? After ?. Then there was the bike exhibit. And the water area. And the hurricane table. And lunch and a snack of ice cream.

Then we had an Abe sleepover. We went to Burgr for dinner. Then to the movie, the Bulter. A little grownup for Abe but educational. The next day Jack and Abe went bike riding on the river. They then ate lunch at the CheeseCake Factory.
Abe loved basketball socks and basketball. Who knew that would be something you collect like baseball cards and Barbie dolls.

ABE is 12 years, Woodland Echos, Ontario, Canada

Happy birthday to Abe. Here is one of my favorite pictures of him. He was about two years and it is SO funny. Laura told him to smile for a picture and he leaned against the wall like that.

Abe today.

Adley Went to visit the Firehouse and got a tour. Then she ate a Elmo cupcake.

We went to Canada to a resort near Maya's camp, AK-O-MAK. Saturday we drove north. We stopped at Niagara on the lake. There was a Peach festival. Music and food. We walked around. Bought the peaches and jams. Then to the town of Barrie to meet up with the G family. Maya does a triathlon with the others campers and town people.
We are staying in Barrie, Canada where the boy and girl camps are participating in a triathlon on Sunday AM. Eve went to a restaurant for dinner and the kids were eating there. The kids are staying are our hotel, not by our planning. And guess who is in the room next to us with an adjoining door. Maya. She just took her first shower in seven weeks. They wash in the lake. No electricity in the cabins or bathrooms, and she loves the camp.

Hotel in Barrie. Breakfast. Eve ate all the hard boiled eggs.. Just eating the whites. You can see the dish of yolks in front of her. There were bananas for Jack and fresh fruit cut and apples for the road. I had oatmeal with fruit in it.

Our stay at Woodland Echo's Resort. The place served our needs but was a little shabby. We shared two units connected. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Compared to how out HHI rental house is stocked, this, place was missing quite a bit. The bedspreads were bad. Only a shower liner. I bought a large bag of peaches thinking we would make a peach pie. but there was nothing to bake it in. Dim lighting. It had many activities, many homemade. The beach was great. Water activities and canoes, kayaks, jumping area, water slide. The Ernharth family were also staying there. And Laurie and John Culbertson stayed at a hotel nearby. We bought the food in Barrie. Good idea as The town , Magnetawan , was small and no large market. We cooked in the unit and on the grill outside. Had steak and chicken, baked beans, salads, roasted radishes, corn on the cob. I brought chocolate chip cookie and jack and I ate the banana cake all by ourselves.
In our two units, each had a hot tub that took up most of the room on the porch. Not all the units had them. There were ten units. The E unit had three bedrooms and a very small living room. No tub.

It was cold during our stay. 55 degree one day. And the kids still went swimming. Adley is never cold. I was wearing three layers and she would be sleeveless. The boys were running around shoeless.

Holden and Tofer E bonded. They played everything there.
Ping pong table was plywood and ball did not bounce good.

On the bouncer. It was cold air.

We bought giant marshmallows for the somores.

The boys out to dinner. They ordered a large appetizer of chicken wings, fried cheese, etc and ATE at all.

We bought a coconut and John was in charge of getting the milk out and cracking it.
Picking the three holes into it to pour out the coconut milk. No one liked the taste of it

Pouring the milk out.

Final campfire and we got the king do all marshmallows. Yo tried to start the fire with a flint, but it was too windy. So we used matches.

Adley is wearing her princess nightgown and no shoes. I was cold.

It was a beautiful night.
