Sept. 26. Outside Fez. Berber village , Sefrou, Jewish town

Berber villiage.
Children wear uniforms. Must be able to afford the uniform to go to school. Some schools the girls have pink uniforms.














White robe women wear in this town.

People live in caves. If pink, it is a house.


This cave is for cold storage.


We were served mint tea in cave house. 400 years old and 18 generations of the same family. They dug the cave out, shovel by shovel. Now there are two stories above with more modern area to live. Parents sleep here.

This is house built about the cave. In the Medina, all the houses are connected. They build about and higher.

Business where you rent everything needed for a wedding. Including food, dresses. The bride will wear seven dresses. The wedding takes six to twelve hours.

Silk factory, scarfs for $7. Large pieces could be used on king sized bed for $75. I did not buy. Too much.

Room where is fire is made for the Turkish baths. Man poor man slept in the corner on a makeshift bed.


Antique store in what was once a private house. Three floors for unbelievable intems. House dates back to 1400.
