50 year reunion for Ruth, K boys go to camp

It is 50 years since I graduated from high school. We had a meet and greet at the hotel Friday night. There was a tour of the TaylormAllderdice HS on Sat. Morning. Saturday night was a party at the Green Oaks country club. It was fun. Good seeing so many people after many years. The people look good for 67-68 years old. This is the ONLY picture I took from the weekend.
Lenny Eisenfeld, a very nice man. Neonatal doctor in CN. He had a son the same age as Eve that was killed at a bus stop by a bomb in Israel. They were in Israel the same time and would take buses from the same spot. The boy that was my first kiss in maybe sixth grade was at the meet and greet. He was drunk and must have a mental problem. He was not all there. He was hugging me , etc. He had the finest parents and I knew them as an adult. That was sad to see. He changed his name from Gary to Gerson. Strange!

Abe and Nathan left for EKC camp. Laura started to cry when the bus pulled out. She said, how will Nathan take care of himself. Loses everything. I said, just like she was when I sent her to camp. Then I said the counselor is in charge now. And we hugged. Between you and the blog, I had already been crying. It is a wonderful sight to see all these kids going off for a wonderful healthy summer. So happy they can afford this and they are healthy. And the parents and grandparents all filming, kissing standing around. I only saw one crying child and that was a younger sibling that was staying at home and too young.

Abe may stay at camp for seven weeks. He says he does not want to come home. All the love you give these kids and they would rather be with their peer group than the grandparent! Imagine. Notice him crew cut. Abe took all AXE products to camp. He likes to smell good. So funny.

8 buses lined up. It is so organized every year. The camp director is with the red shirt. when i have been at the camp, he seems to be everywhere. he drives around in a golf cart with a walky talky in his hand. The buses pulled out at exactly 9:30. Very organized. And Stu, Laura, Mollie And I went for bagels.

Nathan looking out the window.

Abe's bus but he was TOO busy to let me take a picture.

The only child for four weeks.

Nathan and his friends.

Eve bought a Vitamix. She has wanted one for ages. She is blending and mixing everything in the house. The first day she blended something that was a color or over cooked peas or vomit and offered it to me. I could not eat something with an awful color. This is apple, orange and carrot. I always said, I do not like to swallow my calories in a liquid. Example is Pepsi or juices. And also milk.
