Memorial weekend.

It is cold! Sat. Morning was 35 degrees and 55 in the afternoon. Not the kind of weather for the first weekend of the summer season. The new pool and surrounding area opened. It was a little cold in the air. The pool was heated and people did swim. And then the heater broke. It was too cold to swim without the water heated.
New baby pool and playground.

Abe has discovered girls again. He loved them as a little kid and then it became not cool. Sunday he played basketball and then went out to lunch with these kids. And over to a girls house for the entire afternoon. What fun we are going to have with him again. The boy with the dark blue shirt is moving back to Israel after being here six years. It was Abe's best friend. I loved his parents and he was a wonderful boy. I feel sad for Abe. This is the beginning of losses in ones life. The mother and laura were also best friends.
Abe is going into middle school at CDS. Many kids transfer to other schools at this time. His grade will be only 21 kids. I think, they started kindergarten with 34 kids. They lost a few to the Israel families moving back to their country. I am not happy about this. Too small a group of students. But Abe wants to stay and enjoys the school. Luckily he goes to overnight camp, plays basketball with kids at the temple and the JCC. So he has other friends outside the school.

Adley in her favorite black velvet dress.

We went to Crate and Barrel and bought new kitchen chairs today.

The chair pads were $20. I felt I could get prettier one made. So I went to two Fabric stores and the cost at both was $85. So we ordered the pads and I bet I can make some myself.
Mollie was in her second ballet recital. She danced to Cinderella. She loves being on the stage and did great. Last year she was not dancing correctly. She had to grow her hair longer to get it into the bun. Again the dress itched her and she could not wait to take it off. For the second year I forgot to bring the flowers that I had bought for her. So these were sold at the event for more money.

Sadie danced also. Jack and I could not attend because of the timing of it and the wedding.

I sent the girls purses and they seem to like them. I also gave one to Maya and she is using hers as a small lunch box.

Elizabeth and Andy Pearl got married June 2. It rained the day before and was raining until ten minutes before the ceremony . And then the sun came out. Beautiful bride and a lovely brunch and event. Welcome to my new niece and her three children. As you can see, they are expecting a baby girl in August. Elizabeth 's father has Parkinson's disease and is as bad as Ernie was before he died.

I made biscotti for the meal.
