Early Nov. G family in Florida

The G family went to Florida to visit the other grandparents Marilyn and Carl. They drove partly down to Key West, Marathon . Went swimming with the Dolphins. Holden was not interested in getting in the water with the dolphins.

The best picture of Adley ever.

We had a Friday with Shirley and the other Ruth. A visit to an art gallery. And then to shop in Wexford villiage. Branches floral store was having their annual celebration to start Xmas shopping. It was a free lunch of chili and many different sweets for dessert. We ate outside and it was lovely. The store was jumping and the women were buying everything. I looked. It is all red and green and Xmas themed.

Shirley bought an old oil lamp with a decorated top.

We have purchased a flat screen HDTV for the MBR. It is as big as possible and nice.

The beach club in Sea Pines has been torn down they are building a new Big and better building. It was needed. But it will also have less parking in the lot and that is WRONG. It is making the residents angry. But we have no vote on any of this. I wish I had taken a picture of the old building. It is supposed to be completely built for June 1. I hope so. As the renters in our house will not be happy if they can not get to the beach.

Nathan made a picture that looks like stain glass.
There was a swim a thon at the JCC. Nathan swam 74 laps or more that a mile. Mollie swam 20 laps. Nathan would have kept swimming except Laura needed to get home.

Sadie got her report card. All A except in library, media. So Ellen needs to find out what she did wrong in the library!
We went biking with the bike group. The group is called Cycle babblers. And then catered lunch at Shari and Gordan Farbstein's house. Gordan is not well and currently in hospice. We wanted to do something special with him. He was always in the rear on our bike rides. He wore a helmut that looked like an army hat. We took a picture with everyone that could attend wearing our bike helmets.

Shari always uses her art studio of garage for large parties. She is a professional potter. Makes beautiful things. We were 22 people eating fried chicken from Publix. Good eating and greasy too.

Gordan and Jack. Gordan has the bluest of eyes. The sweetest man. Always smiling and interested in your life. He loves jazz and had wanted to be a musician. Mother said no. You need a profession that makes money. So he sold insurance and one of his clients was our Ed Averbach. They lived in PGH before retiring to HHI 20 some years ago. He was one of the people that helped start the Jazz night Club in HHI. He always sits in the front table when he goes. When I went last year, I asked for the Gordan F table and got it.

Shari's art

She also has collections of many things. There is the antique cocktail purses, perfume bottles, old mirrors, pottery musicians. Etc. it is a wonderful artistic house. I am glad I am not the one dusting it.
