At the airport after 13 hour flight. The plane was filled. We arrived 25 minutes early and were met by our guide. Eve and I watched movies the entire flight. That is so hard to believe. There was a choice of about 100 movies along with everything else. Dinner was at a noodle house in Beijing. Then we went to Starbucks to use the wireless Internet which is free. It is tens dollars a day in the hotel. An employee signed us in and I assume we will be able to drink coffee at a Starbucks every day and use the iPad. I am Driod-less. It is strange being without a cellphone. I did not bring pictures of the grandkids since they are on the cell phone. Then I realized the phone is in NJ and the kids pictures are also. No stock updates and no Facebook. Two families have an iPad. We both bloged today but we can not see the blog here. So I assume it posted. It said it did. We have to figure that out.
The three families. Ellen, a mom, with her 8 year daughter from China. Mike and Gina that have three sons, 9, 12, 15 in Boston. We are getting girls from the same orphanage. Our guide saying the number of babies has slowed down. She would have families of ten to fifteen on a regular basis. The agency would have two groups a month. Once she had 52 adults and 26 babies. She used to stay with the group for the entire two weeks but because the numbers have lessened, they have a guide for each city. She says the Chinese people are grateful for the foreign adoptions. And they will crowd around us in the streets with the babies. Happy to see the babies and talk to us in sign language.
