Agra. Emad-ud-Daulah or the Baby Taj. Agra Fort. Jan 23, Thursday

Baby Taj , Emad-ud-Daulah, build 1628 which was the inspiration for the Taj Mahal. Empress Nur Jahan built this for her father, Mirza Ghayah-Beg. Built by Persian workers, of brown and yellow marble. The first of inlaid marble in India.

Tomb on right is a man. Left is a women. But the bodies are in the basement, in the ground as they are Muslims. Etmadaud-Daulah and wife.

Red Fort of Agra
Royal apartment, mosques, assembly halls and a dungeon. The wall is 1 1/2 miles long. Country was ruled from here for many years. Held the largest state treasury.
