A large group of Indians approached and Jack got the. To pose for the picture.

Truck with piles of cotton stacked on top.

Paper making factory. They make gift paper and bags. It would be quicker to use machinery but the work force is so cheap. All manual labor. Each person does one little job. They earn about $200 a month. This is enough to afford an apartment. Most people own even the littlest room.
Making the paper.

Dying the paper.

Piles of dried paper.

The white paper looks like the one with Eve's katuba , Jewish marriage license,. Roses on the paper.

Sleeping on street.

We went to a family home for dinner. It was once a very large house with stables in front. Now has multiple apartments for the many generations of family to live together. The daughter in law was our hostess. Daughter is 8 years old. She goes to a Catholic school and did the mother. SO SHE Sang us a Jesus song and they are Hindu.

She was so pretty except for very uneven teeth. Masters degree in English. Hosts dinners for the tour company about five times a month. Need the money to maintain this house and a larger one with the farm in the country. She talked all the time about her family. Which is the in laws. DOES Not see her parents much. They never come to her house. Four brothers and DIL and older parents, uncles live in house. The women make all the meals. Five people in staff. One person is the street sweeper. Her marriage was arranged. Husband works all the time as a bank manger. She never sees him. She was sitting at our table for dinner. Does not sound happy. She is left to manage the houses. THE Other DILs live or work elsewhere. In laws bought her the furniture, wedding dress Jewerly. She has not had an occasion to wear any of it since the wedding. Never saw her husband until the wedding. And she wants to arrange her daughters marriage. Believes in it and a also astrology. You and husband must match in order to marry.

House was two large court yards with rooms around it. Three Floors. Living room. This is all outside. So you can see why I say we are cold.

Dining room

Second sitting area.

Uncle's apartment. She said children sleep, with you until their marriage. In same room. Seems very strange. For a teenage or in your 20s.

Uncle dining room.

Her apartment. She did not get to pick out any of the furniture. I asked if she liked it and she said yes.

Her father caught and killed this tiger. It is framed in glass.
