Sikh Shrine. Rickshaw ride though old Delhi

Sis Ganj Sahib Gurdwaras. Most famous shrine in Old Delhi. Built starting in 1784 and continues to this day. Very large complex. A male Sikh can not cut his hair or beard. Wears it wrapped in a turban. They pray very day by reciting prayers from The Book. This place has a Soup Kitchen that will feed anyone. They feed about 20,000 people per day. There is a place where you can get a glass of water. Then you line up to go into the feeding area. People line up sitting on the floor. The place is staffed by volunteers and they ladle out the food and num or bread.
Before going into the area, you must cover your head and walk bare feet. There was a special room for the tourist such as us. We were all given the scarf for the head. After the tour, we were handed information and asked if we had any questions. I somewhat understand this religion. They say, women are equal. Maybe?

You could not take picture in the temple unless you paid $5. I did not.
There was a high priest sitting in the center. A man reading out of the book and a group of women singing. People sitting and praying all over the area. It is cold outside and this is a good place to warm up. There is a center gold area and they are working on putting more gold around. Things hanging from the ceiling. People kissing certain areas.
First you have too walk through water to clean you feet.

Rickshaw ride in bustling and colorful Chandni Chowk Market. Such chaos. Lucky to have survived it. Massive crowds, smells, colors..

We did not get a picture of us on the ride. When we were finished, we offered the driver a tip, even though our guide is responsible for the ride and the tip. he was insulted by the amount and said to give it to the poor. It could have been an extra tip. So we took it back. The tour includes all tips but people are always holding out their hands.

McDonalds. Only serves chicken and veggie burgers. Our guide says his kids love fast food. The people of India are thin but they are beginning to eat the fast food and that is not good.

Going into a mosque.

A food area. They just throw their garbage on the ground. They have not learned yet about garbage cans and recycling.
