The guide gave us a number and we were to carry the luggage carefully and stay in line. Stand together and take the seat with that number on the train. We are on the tourist train. Not bad. We were given a large bottle of water each. Rashid warned us about the bathrooms on the train. As we were standing in our tight group, men came over and tried to polish shoes. Beggars circled us. Men with cheap locks to sell us. We were an obedient group in all the turmoil. Rashid said the train can come hours late. Ours was 25 minutes late. Our big luggage went to the train station earlier. We were just a few minutes in the station. The luggage arrived at our hotel and I am in shock.
We began in fogs he bud tide and then white sky and sometimes there was SUN. Pretty farm land.
Doing his business on the tracks. The Indians went to the bathroom anywhere and everywhere. Every wall is a toilet! I have never seen so many men peeing. We have been to other oppr countries, but nothing like this.
The saddest children at the train station.
Some one gave them drink boxes.
Asking for shampoo since they know we are staying at hotels.
Asking for food.
A guide meeting us at the train station.
Statue of Gandi.
Homeless living in tents.
Used clothing, maybe donated from the USA, that the Indians buy for a small cost. Helps with the cold winter. There is no sense putting a lot of money in clothing that will only be worn a few months.
Train station
Man fussing with his mustache.
Lunch. I am a vegetation.again.
A castle, fort that is in ruins. This town was pored than others, the guide said. But they also had less trash.
People were building additions to their houses into the street. It made the street too narrow. So the government just chopped off the fronts of the houses.
Arrived at our hotel after a 12 hour days. Rashid gave us drinks with rum on the bus to humor us.
Again the bathroom is open to the bedroom. There is a curtain that goes down.
